Lakewood has a strong relationship with San Jose Elementary School. This year, we’ve set a goal to collect at least 2,000 lbs. of school supplies for San Jose. We’re planning to Stuff the Bus (pictured) with supplies for the students as they return to school for the Fall semester. Starting on July 25th, we’ll have a collection bin set up on Lakewood’s campus (location TBA). We are collecting the following supplies:
Pens
Pencils
Crayons
Paper
Folders
Glue Sticks
Sharpies/Highlighters
Rulers
Hand Sanitizer
Ear Buds
The collection drive will continue until August 15th. This is a lofty goal to meet, so we’ll need lots of help from the congregation to make it happen. All donations of any size will make a big difference!
